BBOA STREET FAIR AND BATTLE OF THE BARRELS
Get to know your community and let them get to know you!

Friday, July 2nd the BBOA will once again be hosting the annual Street Fair. This will be in conjunction with the Brentwood’s VFD Battle of the Barrel.

From 6-8 pm Brownsville Rd will be closed between Brentwood Park and St. Sylvester’s Church. During this time, the Brentwood VFD will entertain us with their fire hose skills for bragging rights against other local fire companies.

Many of the local businesses will participate by opening their doors to the public offering food, face painting, raffles, live music, give-aways and much more!

We would like to invite all the BBOA members and neighboring businesses to participate in this fantastic, fun filled event. If you are a business that is not in the corridor where the festival is being held, please call me and I will assist you in setting up a table or booth right on Brownsville Rd. There is plenty of space available. I can even assist you with different ideas to support your particular business. This event grows larger every year. At least 400 people made their way down Brownsville Road last year!

If you are interested in participating, please call Robin McNally at 412-884-6000 or 412-758-8012.

Brentwood 4th of July Celebration
Firecracker 5K and Parade
JULY 3rd, 2010

PLEASE NOTE : THE 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION IS BEING HELD ON SATURDAY JULY 3RD!!!

Don’t miss this annual celebration of America’s Independence. This event brings thousands of spectators along Brownsville Road to watch those brave "soles" participating in the Brentwood Firecracker 5K.

The Brentwood Firecraker 5K Run was the dream of the late Mayor Jim Joyce and Jim Rohm. The race kicks off the huge 4th of July celebration. The race donates a sizable contribution to the 4th of July Committee and a rotating charity. (Special Olympics, American Cancer Society, MS, American Diabetes, and Salvation Army to name a few.) The race begins at 9:00 AM.

Following the Firecracker 5-K, Brownsville Road turns in a parade route. Spectators line Brownsville Road to ensure a great spot to watch the parade which begins at Sankey Avenue and continues out to Route 51 near the Brentwood Towne Square. The Parade begins at 10:00 AM.

Watch for the Brentwood Food Pantry Float in the parade, which will be accepting donations. Please don't forget to bring your canned goods, non-perishables and cash donations to the parade! Also a hot dog/bake sale will be under the tent at Brentwood Presbyterian Church 3725 Brownsville Road. Some wonderful bake goods will be sold to support the youth group.
